ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Eshal Fayyaz says Step-Father tried to Rape Her
Pakistani model and actress Eshal Fayyaz shockingly revealed that her then step-father tried to rape her on numerous occasions when she was a child.
Eshal made the revelation on Good Morning Pakistan with host Nida Yasir.
She explained that her biological father had passed away when she was very young.
This led to her mother remarrying when Eshal was around three to four years old.
The attempted rapes happened a few years later.
Eshal told Nida: “When my father died, I was very young. I was around three or four years old when my mother married someone else.
“After this, when I grew a little older, my step-father at the time tried to rape me.”
The revelation shocked Nida, who said she did not know something like this had happened.
She added: “I am so sorry. I promise I had no idea.”
Eshal went on to say that she was very young at the time and did not speak out against her step-father. However, the incidents repeatedly played in her head.
She said that at the time, she did not have the capacity to process what was happening to her.
Eshal eventually spoke out against her step-father when he tried to rape her for the fourth time.
She told her older sister about the abuse. The pair then went and spoke to their mother.
“I did not have much sense back then. I went up to my mother and told her what happened. This also became the reason for their divorce.
“I told my mother that he tried to rape me. Not once, not twice, not even thrice.
“When it happened for the fourth time, I had had enough.”
“My mother divorced him after this and never got married again.”
Eshal Fayyaz was previously in the headlines for rumours that she was set to marry writer and director Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
However, she dismissed the speculation. Eshal said:
“I have no idea, God knows from where the rumours came and who was spreading it.
“I am still doing one of Khalil-ur-Rehman’s favourite scripts, I am still connected to him and we still have good talking terms and Khalil Sahab is like a family to me.”
She went on to talk about Khalil-ur-Rehman’s wives:
“Even after such rumours Khalil-ur-Rehman’s wives didn’t change their behaviour, his wife scolded the bloggers on spreading such controversies about her husband and dragging me in it.”
