ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Covid-19 Positive Model Ishika Borah reveals ‘Suicidal Tendencies’
Model Ishika Borah has expressed her “suicidal tendencies”. She had tested positive for Coronavirus on June 24, 2020, and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nagaon, Assam.
She made the upsetting revelation amid claims that she is not receiving the proper treatment.
Nagaon Deputy Commissioner Jadav Saikia stated that Ishika has been undergoing treatment at the hospital for a few days ever since she tested positive for Covid-19.
On Ishika’s complaints, Commissioner Saikia said:
“I am not aware of her complaints and lack of medical services in the hospital. You better talk to the doctors concerned.”
Ishika posted a series of tweets claiming that the hospital has unhygienic conditions, she is not receiving proper treatment and the “negligence of the health staff”.
She said that she was forced to go to hospital despite only having a temperature.
Ishika explained that she lives in Mumbai but had gone to her home state of Assam to visit her family.
It was reported that while in Assam, she started exhibiting mild symptoms so she decided to get tested. After testing positive, she said that she would have preferred to self-isolate but the government allegedly would not allow her.
Ishika said: “The hospital gives me cold water and food to have, and take a bath which is spoiling my health more.
“The service is poor quality, unhygienic hospital, mosquitos have affected my body badly. I exercise at home and eat a healthy diet.”
The model went on to say that she could have taken care of herself better than the hospital staff.
“For this minor temperature, I could have taken care of myself in a more better way with organic medicines, herbs, soups, vitamin C, fruit etc.
“Dr and nurse never came to see us so why they kept me here? I am knowledgeable about Covid-19 treatment cured by organic way turmeric warm water.”
Ishika then revealed that the ordeal has made her depressed and that she is having suicidal tendencies.

She said:
“Pls help me, I am getting distressed and suicidal tendencies, because of depression now.”
Some of her social media followers were saddened to hear about what she was feeling.
Ishika Borah has appeared in several international photoshoots in Mauritius and Dubai. She has also featured on the cover of Debonair magazine.
The model has also taken part in various fashion shows.
